Spiritual Rebirth: A way to unembellished and pure living.

We all have a dark side and ill emotions and behaviour embodied in us. Sinful acts, jealousy, ego, fear, loathful attitude are a part of our life. Even though we are free physically, we are always trapped in these emotions inside our minds. Spiritual rebirth refers to a natural way of living, where one dissolves the negative emotions and leads a completely free and fulfilling life. It is a spiritual transformation of mindset and style of living. This transformation is hard to achieve. Letting go of your ego and ill emotions requires you to understand yourself thoroughly.

According to Christianity, when an individual decides to follow the path laid by Lord Jesus, he/she is said to be reborn. This rebirth is also termed as Spiritual Rebirth, Salvation, or Regeneration.

Humans are slaves of misdemeanours before following the teachings of Jesus Christ. When Adam and Eve defied God's will in the Garden of Eden, they brought evil and wrongdoing into the world. Everyone is cursed to have a sinful nature since then. We continue to live a life contrary to God's will, as we are all believed to be descendants of Adam and Eve. To liberate us from this curse, Jesus took birth on earth and lived a life as an ideal god-man. He died on the cross and took the punishment upon himself for all our wrong-doings. He rose back from the grave three days later and sent the Holy Spirit to all that put their faith in him. Thus, the entrance of the Holy Spirit into a human soul is known as spiritual rebirth. It is salvation from all the sins in the true sense.

Lord Jesus said that one needs to be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God. One needs to transform himself, put faith in Jesus, dissolve ego to lead an eternal life. In simpler terms, spiritual rebirth refers to giving up your old life and living a sin-free life ahead. 

The human needs are simple. All we need is food, clean water and air to breathe, and a roof over our heads. However, modern society has created this illusion of luxuries being a necessity. One needs to understand that spiritual rebirth is not a static state. You need to keep changing yourself to the change and let the truth take over your ego.

The roots of illusions can make their way back into your life. You need to make a conscious choice and grow towards spirituality. One must understand that all our sufferings are nothing but the choice we make. Life is full of pain and suffering. It is up to us to free ourselves from them and lead a free life. In today's world, all you need to do is believe. Believe in good and put your faith in the almighty. In the end, it all comes down to how much a person is willing to embrace the true meaning of life.
